On my recent trip abroad I also saw Clouded Apollo butterfly, Fire Salamander and a tree gnawed down by Beavers.

Other birds included River Warbler, Pygmy Cormorant and White-tailed Eagle.

  1. I was thinking Danube Delta too. And make friends with Rewilders – it’s the way forward! 🙂

    1. Rewilding yes, but not Rewilding Europe’s version of it which advocates the use of large, often domestic herbivores to create unnatural, open landscapes in the vein of Frans Vera.
