There seems to be a thing about musically inclined astronomers, Patrick Moore was a determined campaigner against animal cruelty and hunting. I’m sure he tried to get the NT to ban hunting on their land many years ago. Generally a very kind and compassionate man who cared about people and animals as is so often the case (although he was never very PC!). Professor Brian Cox was a keyboard player with D;ream, but is he an astronomer, astro physicist or physicist – would he come out against driven grouse shooting?
