Last year I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to dash around southern Israel raising money for conservation work in Greece. This year the Champions of the Flyway event is raising money for conservation of migrant birds in Turkey (through the Birdlife International Partner, Doga Dernegi).
This year’s Birdwatch-Birdguides Roadrunners team is captained by the admirable Mike Alibone and also has Mark James Pearson and Dawn Balmer – they look like a team destined to see a lot of birds and let’s hope they raise a lot of money too.
