Stirley Farm talk – Thursday evening, 27 October

stirley

I’m giving a talk at the YWT Stirley community farm on Thursday evening.  Details and how to book – click here.

Author, campaigner and naturalist Mark Avery on his campaigns to protect the Hen Harrier and why he thinks driven grouse shooting should be banned.

The venue for the talk is Hall Bower Chapel, 69A High Lane, Hall Bower, Huddersfield, HD4 6RL. We would like people to park at Stirley community Farm and walk unless they have mobility issues. The walk is about 10 minutes and there will be stewards to direct people.

I hope I’ll see some of you and have a chat to you, and maybe you’ll purchase Inglorious, Martha or Remarkable Birds as Christmas presents for your loved ones.

  1. I see the YWT have submitted near-identical plans for their much opposed new visitor centre at Spurn. John Lawton’s guest piece on this blog promoting such was roundly criticised. I wonder if it will get a mention?

    ‘Just saying’….
