Sunday quotes (21)

A series of quotes relevant to the environment and/or campaigning.

This week’s quote is from John Ruskin (died 1900).

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.

  1. After my 3 day trip last week in the middle of Scottish wilderness I can say I was definitely concerned about the effect of bad weather could have on myself, but can smile about it now.

  2. Not quite so sure of that. What about the drizzle and the damp cold and sleet with a strong north wind,???

  3. You just need adequate clothing, all sorts of weather is great. This quote is important as people are always running down the weather when it isn’t warm and sunny, even the weather presenters in the media. We do need to learn to appreciate all types. How often do you hear them talk about ‘miserable’ weather or similar, just because it’s rain. If you want non-stop sun, live in Arabia. You’ll soon get fed up of it.
