  1. Scotgov petitions never usually do much in obtaining large numbers of signatures which to be fair has never stopped their debate at our parliament or denied the petitioner a chance to speak to the MSPs on the petitions committee. So the beaver petition is doing remarkably well at 7,668 with still almost a fortnight to go, that means that if it hits the 10,000 mark it would have forced a response even if it had been a Westminster petition. That’s really good going and thanks for your part in helping Mark – you have a very good eye in what to support! Scotgov petitions also allow you to leave comments, it usually takes a few days for them to be cleared, and on the beaver petition they are very well worth reading – why are farms at Strathmore co-existing with beavers and even using their pools as sources of irrigation water in droughts when others have a zero beaver mentality? Why can’t beavers be translocated to RSPB reserves especially when the RSPB has offered to take them?
