Good to see

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-55630861

Sir David has had a jab, the Queen’s had a jab and my mother and mother-in-law have both had two jabs. The 94-year-olds of the UK are getting jabbed up, and Northants seems to be pretty quick off the mark. Hooray!

Q: What percentage of the UK population is aged 90+ years do you think?

A: Just under 1%

  1. I’m hoping my sisters mother-in- law, a lovely lady of 95 has had her jab now in North Yorkshire too.

  2. If you add in my demographic of over 80 yrs old, there are 3.2m of us. That’s 6.4m doses to get us all done! Keeping a high proportion of this cohort out of hospital and especially out of ICU is a reasonable aspiration to relieve pressure on the NHS. The team in my local surgery was fantastic, organised, calm and supportive. People who know how to prepare and deliver.

  3. don’t think any of the over 80s in my village GP surgery area have been called yet, mind you they cant even get repeat prescriptions right so I hold out little hope for the olds of the three villages……..

3.2m over 80’s is 5% of the UK population – we’ll need 60% plus to be vaccinated before we’re close to safely sorted out.
