They can’t be that far away…

Sand Martins – I can feel them in the air.  Any day now… I’m ready for them. And they’ll be followed by Swallows and Willow Warblers, Blackcaps and Sedge Warblers,  and Yellow Wagtails and Common Terns.  Then Cuckoos, a whole bunch of warblers and House Martins. Swifts. Bring it on. An English spring.  I’m ready…

Just a dead Greenfinch

Found in the garden. It’s just a dead Greenfinch – but then again I haven’t seen many dead Greenfinches in my life.  In fact, you don’t see that many dead birds do you?  Certainly not considering how many live birds there are – and they all die sometime. I suppose it’s the same with people….
