And by the way…

our e-petition to get a debate on driven grouse shooting passed 24,000 signatures yesterday. Another milestone  – and thank you to all who have helped get there.

This was, by far, the slowest additional 1,000 signatures of the lot – but I don’t think that means that the e-petition has lost steam – there are plenty of opportunities ahead and just over two months still to go.

It will be interesting to see what impact the thunderclap at the end of the month will have on the number of signatures.  Since over 5 million social media messages will go out asking people to support the e-petition it could be quite an impact although on the other hand it may be a damp squib – we’ll see! What fun!

But there are other things afoot that will help push the numbers up too. Watch this space  -and any other spaces!
