It’s exactly four weeks since this e-petition launched and we are over 106,000 signatures. That’s amazing!
I see that Calder Valley has just overtaken Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey on signatures – I reckon it will end up as top constituency when all e-petitions close ahead of a general election some time after 14 October.
So there are now a fairly certain five weeks clear for gathering more signatures. We in Wild Justice are having a bit of a think about how to get the numbers up a bit further. It would be good to top the previous best ever signature count for this subject which was (after six whole months) in 2016. And it would be good to stay about 100,000 ahead of the so-called ‘rival’ e-petition in favour of grouse shooting.
