  1. It has occurred to me that Conservatives are offering 99% of the people nothing at all except austerity, and that they don’t give a damn. There is nothing to show for doubled national debt (yes DOUBLED). We the people are theoretically liable for that debt although it may well have boosted a few secret off-shore accounts. It is the greatest con-trick in modern history.

    1. My late brother pointed out that the national debt could be easily paid off in 5-10 years with a very small tax on share transactions and other city financial deals that tax was one of 0.5%, 0.05% or 0.1% I cannot remember which but the tories had poo pooed the idea as bad for the city. They think we are thick and will unquestioningly re-elect them. Oh hang on a minute Mmmmmm!

  2. Yep. The Tories’ “Brexit means Brexit” means precisely nothing.

Trouble is… Labour’s “Access to the single market” could mean virtually anything (like the access that Haiti have? Or Japan? Or the YOO-ESS-AY! YOO-ESS-AY? Or perhaps Norway? Or finally and most obviously, ANYONE outside the EU can “have”) … so in short…precisely nothing too.

Oh for the days when “Brexit” wasn’t even a bleedin’ word.
