Saturday cartoon by Ralph Underhill

Ralph writes: This toon is from the The Framing Nature Toolkit! Packed with activities, tools and advice, the toolkit explains what framing is and how we can use it to create a better world for wildlife.

The goal of conservation is to help  the natural world thrive. To do this we need the support of decision makers and the public. Research has shown that certain words and experiences are more likely to inspire and motivate people than others.

Therefore language is integral to our goals.

  1. The toolkit is fantastic and to distribute it for free is an act of true heroism.
I’d like to add that my daughter is currently doing a Masters in Biodiversity at Oxford, which, as one might expect, features some high-powered and distinguished lecturers. Ralph led a day for them recently and she said it was the best day of the whole course.

    All power to the cartoonists!
