No whaling at all in Iceland this year

Minke Whale meat on sale in a Reykjavik supermarket in September 2018.

According to the usually reliable Reykjavik Grapevine, there will be no whaling at all in Iceland this year – the first time since 2003.

Earlier this month it was reported that Fin whaling would not go ahead and now Minke whaling is off the menu too.

  1. Good news, perhaps Iceland is finally getting the message about how totally unpalatable most of the rest of us find whaling and for that matter whale hunters themselves.
