Election watch (6) the Brexit party

There’s not much here to detain us from an environmental point of view.

Scrap HS2

Invest £2.5bn in our Fishing and Coastal Communities: with a Clean-Break Brexit we recover control of a 200 mile exclusive economic zone (or the median line), creating the opportunity to regenerate our coastal communities with new investment, jobs and tourism.

Invest in the Environment: in addition to planting millions of trees to capture CO2 we will promote a global initiative at the UN.

Recycle our own waste and make it illegal for it to be exported across the world to be burnt, buried or dumped at sea.

  1. Not much to say. I think one of the last things Mr.Farage is interested in is helping our wildlife. and I am not interested in leaving the EU so we don’t have anything in common, excerpt the one thing I do agree with him on is scraping HS2. The cost Is horrendous and will go on increasing like Crossrail is. doing.Alan

    1. Agreed Alan Farage to my mind is a neo fascist although he usually hides it well. I too think they will do nothing or little about our wildlife or climate change, actually this is true of most free market parties because both really need a planned economy. HS2 was Ed Balls Vanity project, all it will do is turn more of the UK into dormitories for London and trash a lot of habitat in the process, it should not be pursued at all. It will be hideously expensive for little or no benefit to nearly all of us scrap it now please.
