I’ve only just found this site – useful

The Parallel Parliament website looks very useful – I’ve only just found it.

You can find information about departments – such as DEFRA;

https://www.parallelparliament.co.uk/dept/Defra

… MPs and peers, Here’s my MP;

https://www.parallelparliament.co.uk/mp/tom-pursglove

… and up to date information on petitions, such as this one on Badgers;

https://www.parallelparliament.co.uk/petitions/333693/ban-the-shooting-of-badgers-immediately

This petition information is right up to date (except the only mistake I have noticed is that the site has Lord McLoughlin still as the MP for Derbyshire Dales which he ceased to be at the 2019 general election). It evven has a prediction of how many signatures the petition will reach when it closes on 23 March – 123,669 from its current position of 98,286.

Please sign the Ban the shooting of Badgers petition – click here.

  1. You’ve got to think that is a good initiative, for open government / democracy, as well as being very useful. They don’t say anything about who they are though. Perhaps the whole point is to stay neutral, but I think most of us would trust the site more if there was at least a little description of who the people running it are.
    I say makevotesmatter.org.uk !
