The first episode of Blue Planet III – click here – was brilliant: interesting sharks, a dying and then dead whale and those Harlequin Shrimps! I’ve scuba’ed on the Great Barrier Reef (Nemo is on my lifelist!) and coral off Malindi, Kenya, but I’m very happy to get my insights into the marine world from David Attenborough’s warm and friendly tones and the pin-sharp filming by a range of brilliant camerapeople.
It was brilliant, and an example of what the BBC does best (even if somewhere was compared with the size of Manhattan 23squmiles (60km² for young people) and despite the fact, IMHO, that it is doing many things worse than it once did.
