Oscar Dewhurst – Fox

Fox

Oscar writes:  I took this at the start of 2013 when we had snow in London. Luckily it fell on a weekend so I could spend all my time trying to find the foxes to photograph. On this morning it took me a couple of hours before I came across one, but after that it never seemed bothered by my presence.

  1. Beautiful photo. I love foxes. Used to see a lot of foxes when we lived in London suburbs as old cemetery behind house and our security lights picked them up all evening in winter. Rarely see them now we live in country. Probably killed off like everything else.

    1. Anne – it is a beautiful photo of a beautiful animal. I too see more foxes on my visits to London than in my ‘normal life’ in the countryside. funny that – or is it tragic?

      1. It is a tragedy in my opinion. I just cannot get the image of the dead stoats out of my mind. Those numbers were horrific. Keep up the good work.

        1. Anne – every time you see a cute Lapwing or Curlew chick on a grouse moor you should see the shadow of killed predators in the background. The numbers are horrific, I think.
