  1. What about this “little” gem http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/ourwork/b/martinharper/archive/2015/03/18/world-s-largest-marine-reserve-announced-in-pitcairn.aspx. The world’s largest marine protected area thanks to the tireless efforts over the years by the RSPB UK Overseas Teritories team and the RSPB coordinated Great British Ocean coalition. This follows on from the creation of the Chagos marine reserve in 2010, until now the world’s largest no-take marine protected areas, also with the support of the RSPB UKOT team. Two down and at least two more major marine protected areas to go in the UKTOs – Ascension Island and South Sandwich Islands.
