Dear Teresa

I hope you are well.

It seems most odd writing to you, down in Fordingbridge, about the menu of London’s oldest restaurant but, as you may have seen, it was their idea not mine.

So, as you are the chosen champion of Rules restaurant, could you please comment on their behalf on the source and sustainability of the game that they provide to their customers (of which I have been a non-game-eating one) and on the expected lead levels in that game meat if it is shot with lead ammunition?

I will be happy to post your response (which I’ll take to be Rules’s response too) here on this blog.

And, just to save time, are there any other restaurants, cafes, diners, bistros, burger vans, clubs, game dealers or butchers for which you speak on game matters as there are some other emails in the system which will be sent out soon.

Maybe it would be meet for us to meet and talk about meat – do you know any good restaurants?
