Oscar Dewhurst – Bearded Tit

Oscar writes: this Spring I spent several mornings photographing Bearded Tits in Suffolk. They were coming to the front of a bank of reeds before flying across the path to feed. This image of a female was taken just before it took off.

  1. Very nice photo Oscar! It has a slightly comical look as the posture of the bird and its expression call to (my) mind a person struggling to walk on a pair of stilts!

  2. This is a good photo of an attractive species so it’s little surprise that it’s been given (at the time of writing) 30 likes. Why, though, has someone disliked it? Are they perhaps disgruntled as it’s a species they’ve not seen? Or are they one of those who, so it seems to me, automatically click on the dislike button here without reading or considering the content of the post?
