My NGO disinvestment policy

bigIn March, of course I was struck by the fact that LACS supported our e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting but I didn’t have any spare dosh to give them after giving over £150 to the BirdLife appeal, linked to Champions of the Flyway, to support work by the Hellenic Ornithological Society to combat illegal bird killing.

Our Birdwatch-Birdguides Roadrunners team is pretty close to raising £5000 – maybe a small donation from you to this excellent cause would get us to that landmark?

Note added later: Thank you to the donor who took us to the £5000 level – that was very kind and generous of you.  And thank you to all who have contributed along the way too.

  1. also perhaps @Natures_Voice could spare some of their Lush cosmetics donation - that would help.

  2. Story here in Times concerning my previous (unpublished) comment - is this a good use of £12K and what did JD say to trustees to get it? http://www.thirdsector.co.uk/league-against-cruel-sports-used-charity-funds-defend-chief-executive-joe-duckworth/management/article/1389343
