Do you have a newsletter that would publish an article on driven grouse shooting before 20 September? Perhaps a Bird Club? A Natural History Society? A WI group? Whatever…

I’d be happy to provide something in order to spread the word.

What I need from you is:

  • a deadline
  • a word limit
  • information about the audience – how much are they likely to know already?
  • do you want images?

Of course I will be plugging our e-petition to get a debate on driven grouse shooting and I’m likely to mention the book of the e-petition too.

Contact me at [email protected] and we can explore the possibilities.

  1. Mark I think a big problem with grouse shooting on more specifically the management of the grouse moors is Muir burning. With the scientific evidence pointing towards a potential massive release of stored carrbon dioxide from peat bog after the burning has taken place not to mention the co2 during the burning it’sself. I think this would be a good avenue of attack for your campaign. the Scottish Government has failed to reach it’s emission targets and has just set an even more stringent set for the future at the same time allowing this annual burning ritual to continue unabated.
The affected hills of Scotland are virtual deserts, the loss of many unique species continues and with both flora and fauna devastated and the base of the food chain is lost to higher predators forcing them to take grouse and suffer persecution.
