BAWC raptor tagging project in play!

Bleep! Bleep!

Somewhere in northern England some raptors are transmitting their locations  – and that’s thanks to the skill of some dedicated raptor workers, the foresight of Birders Against Wildlife Crime and the generosity of many of you (us, actually!) in funding this project.

If you are a gamekeeper thinking of pulling the trigger with a raptor in your sights, or with alphachloralose in your shed, or with a some traps in the back of your Land Rover then life has just become a little more dangerous for you…

Full details – or actually, for  completely understandable reasons nothing like full details – are on the BAWC webpage.

  1. Well done BAWC. I love practical initiatives such as this.Keep up the good work.

  2. It’s a shame raptors have to die to allow this project to succeed, but I have no doubt that it will. It’s only a very small nail, but they all count.
