Tales from the Bird Fair (3) and a reminder

Two unanswered questions in the Bird Brain of Britain quiz (winner, David Lindo) at the Bird Fair on Saturday had their answers in my book Remarkable Birds – see page 174 for the name of the female Chatham Island Black Robin from which all the population is derived and page 127 for more information on the species which we kill in millions but whose population remains the highest of any bird (now the Passenger Pigeon is no more) on Earth.

In a recent Mastermind, a contestant would have found an answer he lacked on page 149.

Buy your copy if you are a quizzer! But you could also win one by entering this blog’s competition to write a review of George Monbiot’s book Feral – see here for more details but entries need to be with me by the last second of August.
