The December Birdwatch

The latest Birdwatch is now out – my column promotes Gavin Gamble’s e-petition.

Elsewhere in the magazine is an interesting review of the Hawfinch invasion – have you seen any? No, nor have I – but I keep looking up and hoping.

Bill Oddie writes about birding Scilly this autumn – and getting wet and missing rare birds.

There’s an interesting profile of Salim Ali by some time commenter on this blog, Ed Hutchings. I enjoyed reading that.

The RSPB’s Chiara Ceci writes about climate change and how it is having a more and more noticeable impact on our bird populations.

And there’s loads more good stuff too.

And there is a cracking offer – you can get 12 issues of Birdwatch for less than £20 – outstanding value. A good Christmas present, I’d say.
