46100

Another 1000 passed! Hooray!

We will soon have 100 Westminster parliamentary constituencies in the ‘100 Club’ and two thirds (or more) of them will be Conservative seats.

High Peak becomes the third seat to pass 200 signatures.

There are more than 12 weeks to go – I wonder what the final total will be. I may ask you to guess soon.

If only someone could come up with a cheap and easy way to reach the urban big city constituencies (which are mostly Labour seats) then I would say we would get to 100,000 signatures.  As it is – it will be tough!

  1. Not sure that we will have 3 more months – I suspect an autumn election may cut it short.

    1. jbc – that is a possibility, but we would need a new PM for that to happen and that may take a while.

  2. Lush could help us reach urban constituencies. Henry could tour their stores and petitions could be collected outside on the street using tablet devices.

This is an example of Lush collecting 1000 signatures in support of the hunting act with the new shadow environment minister Rachael Maskell.

This is a video of Bill Oddie showing the public the horrors of snares. http://youtu.be/QsCnwGoVUso

  3. Just tell the public how much of their hard-earned brass goes towards the rich landowners so they can enjoy a few days of smashing beautiful birds out of the sky; you will get a million votes in no time!
