Oscar writes: One October morning, just after dawn, while I was out photographing the deer rut, I came across a pair of Stonechats in a patch of bracken. This provided too much of a distraction, and I didn’t get another deer photograph that morning! I love the frost on the bracken, and the colours brought out by the early morning sun through the mist.

Gorgeous capture of one of my fav birds! Love the way they pop up unexpectdly to see whats going on!
Thanks Chrissie! They’re great aren’t they.
Lovely capture. I wish I could afford that lens.
Bob, I think I may have a lens like that but it doesn’t take that quality of photograph! Love the way the subtle colour of the breast is reflected in the dying bracken. Gorgeous.
Thank you Richard, the early morning light had a lot to do with that, but it was hard to drag myself out of bed at 4.30am!
Thanks Bob
Very subtle
Thank you Pete
