Progress

Fullscreen capture 03062014 211155Our e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting in England has, today, entered only its seventh week of life.  Doesn’t it seem longer than that?

Yesterday, just as Brazil kicked off with high hopes against Germany (did Brazil have the first kick of the match – I missed the first few minutes?) our e-petition passed 7000 signatures.

That’s 7000 in six weeks including 1000 signatures in the last week (so no sign of support running out of steam just yet).

Thank you to all who have signed and spread the word. Spread it some more please!

Do not expect that this government will respond favourably to your wishes, but do not doubt that your views are noticed by the media, wildlife NGOs, the shooting community (both good and bad apples within it) and by politicians of all parties.

  1. Yes it is doing fantastic for a e-petition that is promoted by a individual with no close connection or employed by a large organisation or charity.
You surely have the respect of all who have signed and well deserved it is.

    1. Dennis – you are a great encouragement to me – thank you. As long as I keep off farming of course!

  2. I feel that we are even quite close on farming even. You deserve all the encouragement any of us can give you for all the effort you put in especially on the Hen Harrier problem.
Anyway there are always differences even in groups of people who have the same end in mind.
I find I admire everything about you and the best compliment I could pay you I think would be that you are a great example for Finlay to follow.

    1. Dennis you are too kind. I think we’ll all be following Findlay pretty soon!
