Great job Mark! Your blog is an excellent source for sharing. discussing and raising awareness of many environmental issues. Thanks for hosting such an important platform!
Yes, good for you Mark. Strange though how few people like / dislike, let alone comment, given the tens of thousands of readers.
Any idea why Ralph’s cartoons are appearing on every post on my ipad? I can’t read the discussion or post properly. anyone rlse experiencing this?
John – can’t see anything wrong where I am.
It’s sorted itself this morning, but for three days the blog was unreadable. Must have been an ipad problem.
John – I’m glad it’s sorted. Please, anyone, do tell me if you do have problems with the website loading or similar. There isn’t always anything I can do about it but sometimes I can.
Excellent stuff….call me spike!
There was a post in July 2014 that attracted an unusually large number of visitors. Which post was that and is there anything in your stats that indicates where all the additional traffic was coming from?
I don’t know whence the traffic came but it looked like someone sent an email or a newsletter out with a link to my blog because the rise in traffic was very sudden.
This growth might explain why you were namechecked on QI last night Mark – it was a question about people who’s names sounded like their professions, (Avery – sounds a bit like aviary – see what they did there?). Sadly the Elves think you still work for the RSPB! If you (or your lawyers lol!) want to check it on iPlayer I think it was about two thirds of the way in.
Not in the least bit surprised at the growth in the blog.
MK – more likely to be the RSPB who want to sue, surely?
Congratulations. But please don’t let it go to your head.
Amused to see that your screen grab highlights your obsession with the GWCT!
Happy New Year.

Jonathan – it was this post about Simon Barnes https://markavery.info/2014/06/25/curious-case-simon-barness-departure-times/ which was something of a scoop (though I say it myself).
