  2. Good job for Defra they are not running a business because I don’t think they would last the week in the outside world.

    1. Sadly Alan they just cream off (rather like banks) good salaries and gold plated pensions at the public expense? Or at least their hierarchy, who gatekeep any half decent grassroots agency staff, do? The even more frustrating aspect being that we continue to fund it!

      I’ve suggested before a good clean cull perhaps following a vote of no confidence? What would we want in their place, discuss?
