Andy, Yvette, Jeremy and Liz

photoThe Labour Party is having a leadership election. As a party member I get to vote in it.

It’s a very difficult choice – they are all so dull!  I cannot detect a smidgeon of wildlife interest in the lot of them – but maybe I am misjudging Andy Burnham, Yvette Cooper, Jeremy Corbyn and Liz Kendall.

Let’s see! I will offer a guest blog on the subject of wildlife to all the Labour leadership contenders. 400 words to convince wildlife-loving Labourites like myself to vote for you.  Any takers?

    1. I am told he’s vegetarian too, though have not yet had this confirmed – which would be another mark in his favour for some of us.

  1. This would really make a difference to me
Have all but given up on the Labour party.

  2. Harriet Harman has ordered her party members not to vote against the conservative government’s welfare bill later tonight.

Aside from that being a pretty shameful position for the Labour Party to take, you have to ask yourself that if they care so little for people, then what chance do the environment, conservation and sustainability have?

Good luck in your choice. I hope you get what you want.

  3. I suspect from everything I’ve read that Jeremy Corbyn could be the Labour leadership candidate that would push a ban on grouse shooting. What do you think Mark? Will you be backing him? Should we all pay our £3 and vote Corbyn as the best chance of saving England’s Hen Harriers?
