Henry at the Bird Fair – Day 3 (5)

The League Against Cruel Sports has been a regular attender and exhibitor at the Bird Fair for about seven or eight years, I think. They can be relied upon to have a hard-hitting stand such as this one. Isn’t it striking?

I did smile a little when I noticed that the Hawk and Owl Trust were just across the way from LACS and must have been constantly reminded by the sight of this bloody Hen Harrier of the pickle they themselves are in.

Elsewhere in the world people are fighting wildlife crime too…

If you aren’t an eco-warrior yourself then you can help those who are by buying a Skydancing bathbomb – Henry approves …

  1. Delighted to have been able to thank Mark Constantine in person for creating the Harrier bath bombs as part of Lush’s support for the HH campaign & I bought a pair!

Interesting that in their literature (HOT) mentions ‘Harriers’ as potential sightings on land they manage as reserves (3), no particular species just a generic bird?

Then they want the public to let them know about green wing tagged Marsh Harriers to assess distances moved from where they hatched in North Norfolk. If it wasn’t for the fact that a ringing group were also involved would we be inclined to think more meddling? Or perhaps is it to be seen to be undertaking science?

As I recall someone commenting on your blog once upon a time they were a respected organisation, sadly they appear to have been distracted from focus by the lure of project funding?
