I’ll be chatting about driven grouse shooting at the Ilkley Literary festival on Saturday 10 October. It would be good to see a few friendly faces as I venture into grouse shooting country.
This does mean that I will miss the RSPB AGM on the same day in London (for the first time for well over a decade) so you’ll have to fill me in on that – anyone going and fancies writing a guest blog for publication on the Monday? You can, as a member, attend the RSPB AGM for free but you do (and this is new) have to register in advance. And I see Hen Harriers are on the menu, as it were.
But I’ll be in Ilkley – and I’m very much looking forward to it.
Let’s ban driven grouse shooting.

We’ll be there!
