Oscar writes: This image was taken at the same place as the Moose in last week’s photo. It was our last morning before we headed back to the UK that evening, so again we decided to spent a couple of hours at a spot overlooking the Snake River. There was a lovely layer of mist across the river, and before too long the silence was broken by two cow elks trotting through the river to get to the other side. As it was their rutting season, I was hopeful a male would follow, and sure enough soon after he came out of the forest too!
