M&S are handling their grouse meat issue spectacularly badly.
They say they have an ‘industry leading’ Code of Practice – agreed with an organisation funded, to a large extent, by grouse shooters but not supported by a proper conservation organisation. That hardly inspires confidence, does it?
And they are so proud of this industry leading Code of Practice that they won’t share it with anyone. That is likely to inspire confidence too, isn’t it?

Perhaps the grouse industry entourage are the new “Mrs M&S”?
Pretty spectacular to announce they have an ‘industry leading code of practise’ and not make it public. You can only assume it isn’t that industry leading, or heaven forbid that it doesn’t exist at all.
That is a point, has anyone lodged a complaint with trading standards or advertising standards authority.
Accidentally clicked dislike, so disregard one, clicked like after.
I went to the Dentist last week with Orders from Mrs C to buy some bananas but only if they are slightly green, mind, so finding that there were none at Mr Pritchett’s the Butcher I bought some on my way back through M&S avoiding the Mall and at the till I was reading the wrapper like you do only to see that despite the bananas still being slightly green we had best eat them all that very day so I said to the Lady at the Till I had better put them back because it’s more than my miserable Life is worth to arrive home with these whereupon she said I should remove the wrapper and bin it and Hey Presto! Mrs C would never know. What outrageous behaviour! If that’s their attitude to their banana best before Domestic Harmony issue then nothing they say about grosue surprises me.
