Many have commented on the magnificent images of Hen Harriers that I use on this blog – most of them are the work of the photographer Gordon Yates (who also wrote a Guest Blog here last year after the ‘mysterious’ disappearances of five male Hen Harriers from active nests in England).
Here’s a link to Gordon’s website where, through interest or merely as a sign of appreciation for his support, you could subscribe to his updates.
By the way, our e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting is close to 45,000 signatures.

Gordon’s lectures used to be the highlight of my local RSPB meetings. He was plainly very knowledgeable and passionate about hen harriers in the Forest of Bowland. I have sometimes thought about him recently and how absolutely gutted he must feel over their persecution.
