From the Guardian you can add Idris Elba, Rio Ferdinand and Daisy Ridley. It reminds me of a piece of doggerel often quoted by my Mum: “You can tell a man who boozes by the company he chooses…”. And I would rather drink with this lot than Katie Hopkins, Ian Botham or Bernie Eccleston (though I would have to be at the other end of the bar to Jeremy Clarkson).
Had you drawn this list up around 4-5 years ago, I would think there would have almost certainly been more than the one Lib Dem. They appear to have been almost largely absent from the Brexit debate. Other than the snippet from the Trendy Vicar, I’ve seen or heard very little in the media from senior Lib Dem’s such as Paddy Ashdown, Shirley Williams or Simon Hughes.
