Today there was this authored by Chris Packham. Doesn’t he look so out of date with that placard with the number 73,316 on it? We’re way past that now. By midday tomorrow we could well be at 93,316 signatures. And that photo of Chris was taken at the Rainham Marshes Hen Harrier Day – a week ago tomorrow.
And now this too – this made me laugh, out loud.
And just in case – please sign the e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting which stands just shy of 91,000 signatures.

Can I make a suggestion. Mr Botham called Chris Packham an extremist for wanting to ban DGS on the radio this morning. Yes, I know that really hit home judging by the petition, but bear with me. There is a ready-made and devastating riposte to this. Just say “I can’t think of anything more extreme than trying to wipe out protected species in the British countryside. “
Perhaps you misunderstood Botham, he informed listeners that the gamekeepers protect HHs, so if they are to be paid on performance then we can cut the £56 per hectare public support – they’re failing?
