Strange how those guys’ eyes literally pop out out of their heads.
And as for the odd-looking dog managing to balance a stack of papers on its tail, amazing!
TEAMWORK
There are four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it.
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it
but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn’t do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when
Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
One of the best!
Its been a mind boggling week in Brexit land, hasn’t it ? What I have completely lost track of is what the benefits of Brexit are going to be – so far I’ve only got to something nebulous called ‘control’ which isn’t actually control because if we want to stay part of the world we actually have to play by agreed rules. Brexiteers continue to crow about the £11 billion ‘saved’ but now it seems we’ll probably be paying some of that back to stay in the trading club, and anyway although it sounds a lot its a miniscule fleabite on the Government’s accounts – just 1/3rd of the deficit the NHs is apparently running, and less than the tax lost by the most miniscule dip in the economy. And, for those who want it, it seems we won’t be able to bring immigration down to ’10s of thousands’ and that’s even before all the people who’ve left the UK come flocking back to get the free health care they can’t get in Europe anymore (where Brits get more than EU migrants take in the UK).
And to top it all John Redwood tells us we’ll be able to escape the austerity imposed on us by the Euro zone (to which we don’t belong) – and there was me, stupid, thinking UK austerity was something to do with George Osborne – no doubt enthusiastically supported by John redwood himself. But maybe I’m living in a parallel universe and soon Donald Trump will explain it all to all of us ?
