Brian Egan says ‘Ban driven grouse shooting’

Brian Egan General Manager of Rare Bird Alert UK says:

Killing Red Grouse for fun and profit is absurd, immoral and has no place in modern society.

This absurdity is compounded by the killing of other wildlife, both legally and illegally, to facilitate this fun.

The industry of driven grouse shooting is rotten to the core.  The idea of licensing as proposed by the RSPB and others, shouldn’t even be entertained.  I want to live in a country and support a conservation organisation that says it is never OK to kill birds for fun and profit.

So when it comes to driven grouse shooting a total ban is the only answer.

To join Brian Egan, please sign Gavin Gamble’s e-petition which calls for a ban on driven grouse shooting.

  1. Great idea Mark , having a range of people highlighting the issue. I imagine it must be time consuming, but you never shy away from hard work, well done.
