I ponder, beyond publicity, what this clapping achieves? My comment isn’t a criticism as any means to keep the profile in the public eye has to be good but what exactly does a reach of 5 million mean?
I’d like to think it was 5 million folk who hadn’t heard of the issue, 5 million potential letter writers (to MPs etc.), 5 million new campaigners for the countryside and its wildlife but I suspect it’s those of us trying to bring an end to illegal raptor persecution and wildlife crime. Happy to be enlightened ….
So, all of us need to keep on campaigning however we can be it clapping, rallies, keyboard warriors, walking the bleak moors managed for massacres ….
PS, yes I have signed up 🙂
