  1. The hedgehog was busy in our garden last night and yesterday morning we watched 60+ skylarks lift off from the headland and move southward. I keep returning to the young people on the day who had never seen a sky lark or a hedgehog, through no fault of their own, and despite their wildlife enthusiasm. What a poignant reminder that we must forge ahead with the manifesto.
