It didn’t look like that last time I was there. It was full of very wet but enthused people protesting the absence of Hen Harriers in our uplands. The campaign has moved on ( as have I) but despite claims to the contrary by the grouse botherers PR chief, one Amanda Anderson the Hen Harrier population are still a mere fraction of what it should be. I see she has claimed that the RSPB Birdcrime Report shows persecution has declined significantly. How can that be Amanda when successful nests of Hen Harriers, Peregrines, Goshawks and Short Eared Owls on privately owned grouse moors are still rarer than hen’s teeth?
I was there when Bertha was. Wouldn’t have been anywhere else!
