It’s exactly seven weeks since this e-petition launched and we are approaching 108,000 signatures. Progress has been slow over the last three weeks but then no-one has put any effort into bumping up the signatures. As we enter the last 2-3 weeks (probably) of this e-petition then it would be good to put on a bit of a spurt – and I predict that it will pick up pace from next weekend onwards.

The e-petition is still open and welcomes more signatures – and more constituencies in this list.
Please sign this e-petition by Chris Packham calling for a ban of driven grouse shooting.

Good to see the RSPB getting more vocal on persecution, although they still can’t bring themselves to explain how licensing will be policed and enforced to an extent where it will improve things one jot.
Licensing will not improve the visibility of the crime and will not lead to more convictions, therefore, how can you hope to remove a licence from people that are protected by those in power.
It won’t work and will inevitably lead to a call for a ban. Let’s do that now and cut out a further 20 years of wildlife slaughter.
