  1. Christmas is a time for sharing gifts but if you a looking for that special something for your true-love this year please be advised that there have been some availability issues. There will be reduced numbers of calling birds, geese and swans available and sadly no turtle doves. It will be difficult to source a wild grey partridge but we can supply good numbers of captive-reared red-legged partridges and up to forty-three million pheasants as an alternative.
French hens should be in good supply this year but, looking ahead, we fear prices may rise sharply in future and we strongly advise stockpiling this continental commodity. We are very happy to announce that, having been recently ennobled and feeling confident in the prospects for property developers, hedge-fund proprietors and grouse-moor owners, our lords are leaping especially exuberantly this year.

    Merry Christmas one and all!
