This was Titchwell RSPB nature reserve on Friday morning; it was rather dreich (don’t you love that word? Apparently we all do!).
But it’s difficult to have a bad day at Titchwell – it’s a very good nature reserve.
I had three conversations with people who wanted to say ‘Well done!’ to Wild Justice and also came across Rob Sheldon, by chance, with whom I had a longer chat.
We headed home and called in at another RSPB nature reserve, the Nene Washes at Eldernell, but the washes were flooded (quite unusual) so we had to make do with a lovely Barn Owl. Had we remained at Titchwell, looking east into the view pictured above, we might have seen the piles of Marsh Harriers going in to roost – 94 of them Rob tells me! Wow! Just wow!
The Wild Justice three co-founders will be visiting some winter raptor roosts over the next few weeks – we may see you there.
