Regular readers with good memories will remember the Midhope Track. This is what it looks like at the moment (above). The logs from the image below have been added to the plastic track but they are now sinking into the bog.

This case is being appealed by the landowner and will go to a Public enquiry. You can comment on the case through clicking this link and comments close on 17 July – a week today. It will eventually go to a Public Enquiry. Seems a very long and expensive procedure over an unconsnted development in a National Park which, quite hionestly looks a mess and an eyesore (but it does seem to reduce the walk to some grouse butts).
