I never really thought that when Wild Justice, Hen Harrier Action and the RSPB started this e-action on Hen Harrier Day that we might get to 100,000 participants in such a short time, and by the end of August, but now I’ll be just a little disappointed if we don’t.
There are six days left and we are less than 11,000 participants short of 100,000 e-actions. It’s not that 100,000 is materially better than 99,999 but I haven’t changed much since the age of 17 when my biology master, Mr Cockitt, told my parents that ‘The thing about Mark is that if he sees a goal that he wants to reach, he usually gets there. So I think he ought to apply to go to Cambridge University.’.
So for the next six days, until the e-action closes to new participants at midnight on 31 August, I’ll be checking the counter to see how it’s going – it’s like waiting for exam results.
And I know Chris and Ruth will be doing the same as i get texts from them each time we pass another 1,000 participants.
You could help our sanity, please, by sharing the e-action with friends and family by email and social media. Have your husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, child, parent, sibling and friend signed already? If not, please give them a friendly nudge to have a look here please https://wildjustice.eaction.org.uk/saveourskydancers
Yesterday we passed 87k, 88k and 89k which felt a bit slow. At one stage I thought everyone and the internet had blown away in the wind.
It’s an amazing total already, and actually the wind is in our sail, but thee are only six days left and we aregetting close to an impressive milestone. Thanks for all your support, and in advance for any help you can give over the next few days.
