  1. Protecting crops….
    After the grain is cut and the crop removed….thats when the pigeon killers come out to play. If the crop has gone, how can they use this licence to claim that they are protecting the crop?

    1. Simply put they shoot on the stubbles to protect nearby crops, on the stubbles the birds can be easily picked up after shooting. If pigeons are controlled at this time then they do not decend on the newly drilled crop once the stubble is worked again. This is called management not elimination, if there was no management every year then there would soon be a big problem.
