I hope that all readers of this blog, whatever their views on life, have a safe and happy Christmas. That’s what I am planning too.
This blog will be back with new content on Sunday 27 December – some guest blogs, several book reviews, poems, photographs, reviews of the year on this blog and thoughts for the future.
Happy Christmas!

Hi Mark,
Hope you have a good two days off (from the blog at least), the weather in Plymouth is ok for tomorrow, so it’s a 200 yard walk to the Barbican for my Xmas Day Birdwatch, this year it’s all things Laridae for me. With the approaching storm on Boxing Day, things are looking good for a few Pelagics close to Plymouth Hoe.
Happy New Year.
Baz – best of luck to you!
Thanks and Merry Xmas to you too Mark!!
Merry Xmas Mark, thanks for all you do. (And yes my second name really is Avery!)
Howard – thank you for your first comment here.
Dear Mark, we send all best wishes to you, Rosemary and family. Have a lovely day. Your blog, the guest contributions and most of the comments have been a beacon of sanity in this strangest of years.
Lyn and Richard.
A very happy Christmas to you Mark and thanks for the blog, reviews etc. Have a peaceful two days.
Please tell me your order of wine arrived on time!
Paul – thank you. No the wine appears to be delayed but I dare say we can eke out our supplies. Champagne with lunch today anyway!
Thanks for all you do Mark, here’s wishing you and Rosemary a restful and enjoyable ‘festive break’. Thanks also for your role alongside t’other two. You’re all inspirational.
Here’s to a better year in 2021, for wildlife and challenging injustice and system failure.
Future generations need a healthy environment and we all have a part to play in persuading ‘the establishment’ that change is necessary.
Thanks you 🙂
Thanks, Nimby – I concur.
Very best wishes to you, your family and Wild Justice, and a Happy New Year from us.
